Website Content Questions

Our Website Coordinators are experienced copywriters and SEO strategists. We come up with all or most of the copy for your website so that it reads professionally and ranks for your main keywords and towns.

Below are the questions your copywriter will ask you on the content call. It is a good idea to look these over before the call so that you are prepared. You can also submit the answers to these questions online to make the content call more efficient:

1. What is your name and the name of your company?

2. What do you want people to know about your company?
Common information includes year established, years of experience and what makes your company different form your competition.

3. What Pages do you want?
Standard packages allow up to 8 pages. Typical pages include About Us, Services, Testimonials, Gallery and Contact Us. There is always a home page.

4. Keywords/Services:
A keyword is what someone uses on Google or another search engine to find what your company offers. What do you want to rank for the most?

5. Key Areas:
Provide a short list of about 5 or 6 cities or towns that you want to rank for. Keep in mind, the wider the coverage area, the more difficult it becomes to rank for a given keyword.

6. Sites to Reference
Know of any websites with a design or content that you like? If so, list them and try to tell us what you like about these sites.

7. Design
Do you have any design specifications on the logo, color scheme, or general layout? List them here. You can also say "Run with it!"

8. Images
Do you want a gallery/galleries to show off your work? Do you want us to use stock images or will you be uploading your own images?

9. Do you have a domain name (web address)?
If so, please give us as much information as you can, including registrar, username, password and if there are emails associated with the account.

10. Contact us form:
Where do you want the messages from the form on your website to be emailed?

11. Phone numbers:
What numbers should we list on your site?

12. Address:
Including the company address on your website is beneficial to your ranking. Note that P.O. Boxes are not valid addresses for Google Maps or Yahoo Local listings, though we can list them on the website as your mailing address. If you rather keep your address private, what city/town should we list you in?
